solomon calago

Konnichiwa everyone once again! It’s middle of July now, Summer is finally here! Air is filled with sound of cicadas and days are long and hot!
Our program is gradually moving towards it’s end, but it’s not time to relax! Couple last weeks were busy, as we worked with Fujiyama group (brushcutting in the woods), and did some trail construction at the Yahou no mori – now the trail is in wonderful condition and children can use it no matter what the weather is!
Also we visited Soboku, in the Sakura town: in that place a group of professionals makes wooden furniture and products, using Japanese cypress and cedar, that grows in abundance in forests nearby. It was so joyful to see how many different things can be made using this wood - even beds and musical instruments!
