Volunteers: 11 ( M:6 F:5)
Learners: 10
From China 7 ( M:4 F:3), Canada 1 ( F),
Korea 1 ( M), and Laos 1 ( F).
It’s been a long time. Having a busy job or meeting friends
from China almost every day prevented me from attending the
class for about one month. Today I had a chat with M sensei
about various things.
The18th of February is New Year’s Eve in China. We cherish
this day, thank our ancestors and have a celebratory dinner
together. After the job I went home early and prepared a
simple shabu-shabu for my family, honoring my ancestors.
My son, from his juku and my husband, from his job, came
back home at about ten forty at night. We raised our glasses
and prayed for a better new year and had the hot meal.
I had much more to talk about but the class was over.
M sensei, I’ll tell you the rest of the story next time.
