二十一世紀にふさわしい思考、思索は、はっきりと方向を見出している。
古い形の枠組はそのパワーが強力であればあるほど、また悪意と独善と弱者支配の度合いが濃いほど、その溶解度は加速される可能性を持っているのではないか。
人類は滅びないために、この辺で青空を見つめる目を見開くべきである。
八月六日は日本では広島に六十一年前に原爆を落とされて多数の死者や重症者を出し、今、尚その後遺症で悩む人々がいる。
アメリカは依然として原爆の正当性を主張しているようだが、これは単なる主張のやり取りではなく、また日本だけの問題ではなく人類全体の問題として捉え直さなければならない重要なことである。
パキスタンやインドの核競争、イランや北朝鮮、イスラエルの核保有の問題等ではなく、核保有の先進国があくまで実力に物言わせて核外交を続けていくのか、そして、十年か十五年に新たな戦争を惹き起こし、武器の宣伝や在庫の一掃を計っていくのか、強大国の指導者や国民は真剣に考えねばなるまい。
レバノンのシニオラ首相は声をつまらせ先ず停戦だ。
停戦をしろと訴えていた、あまりにも悲惨な光景を目のあたりにしているからだ。
武装組織ヒズボラはレバノン国家を同一であるというイスラエルの主張は正しいかも知れないが、多くの非戦闘員である女子供までが死傷していることは法律論を超えて大きな誤りを犯している。
先にも論じて来たように二十一世紀の「理性」の概念は二十世紀に輝かしい業績を残していってくれた先人哲学者や多くの思想家たちの残してくれたものに、更に一歩も二歩も前進し、相手の立場に立った外交の永久的継続性を基盤に捉えることである。
