親愛なるサポーターの皆様へ

カトマンズへの旅は無事に終わりました。
日々、多忙だった上に、現地はインターネットのアクセスが悪く
頻繁に情報をアップデート出来ず、申し訳ありませんでした。
今回の訪問は予想以上の成果を収めました。ここに第一弾の帰国報告をしたいと思います。

映画祭閉会式に、シネミンガを代表して映画祭から金色のストゥーパ（卒塔婆）を受け取るカルロス。

ネパール国際先住民族映画祭へ参加し、現地へ行った事がきっかけで
映画祭を主催しているIFA（アイファ＝先住民族フィルムアーカイブ）と
シネミンガとの長期を見据えたパートナーシップがスタートしました。
IFAは、映像を通して、ネパール国内の先住民族の伝統や文化を保存・推進する為の非営利団体です。
短期間でしたが、多くの映像作家や文化啓発に携わる人に会い、
彼らの活動を学ぶ事ができました。

映画祭の後、ネパールの西部と東部のコミュニティを訪れ「地域で取り組むビデオ制作」をテーマにワークショップを行いました。地域の様々な人々が参加し、お互いにとって刺激的な経験となりました。

ネパールでは、数えきれないくらいの写真と約２１時間のビデオを撮ってきました。
今、写真を整理したり、コンピュータに映像を取り込み始めた所なので
追々、成果をアップデートしていく予定です。

Hello dear supporters!

It has been three weeks since we finished our campaign and set off towards Kathmandu. We were very busy and had limited access to internet so we apologize for the long silence, but we are glad to report that the trip was successful beyond our expectations.

Not only did we participate in the amazing Nepal International Indigenous FIlm Festival, but we also began what we believe will be a long term partnership with the organization behind it, Indigenous Film Archive. In the short time we were there we were able to meet with many indigenous filmmakers and cultural activist and learn about their work. We also visited communities in Eastern and Western Nepal and conducted workshops on Community-Based Filmmaking which were very inspirational for everyone involved.

We have hundreds of photographs and many hours of video to review and edit, so we will be sharing more results in the near future. In the meantime here are some pictures:
