Dear everyone, Sawasdee kha! Winter is very much present even in Thailand. It's much colder than usual January all over the country, and it goes down to below 10 degrees every morning in Phrao. How about in your place? Today, I'm writing a special edition as I have a very happy news! At very long last,we, Always Reading Caravan, have been officially registered in Thailand as an association, which is a form of non-governmental organization. I just went to the district office in Suphanburi Province to receive the official approval letter from the district officer together with our partner, Aj. Wiboon. I must say that I was really really overjoyed because we have been working on this for one and a half year already. Thank you, all of you, for supporting us throughout with much patience. I really appreciate the fact that none of you ever doubt in our ability and commitment even though we are not an official organization. This day has come only because of your help. Nothing will change dramatically even after the official registration. But together with 5 other staff at ARC and countless other volunteers including some of you, I would like to make ARC stronger and stronger to carry on our mission of promoting the joy of reading and learning. With much gratitude, Yoshimi |
