　厚生労働省によると、埼玉県と群馬県の患者から検出されたＯ−１５７を国立感染症研究所で検査をした結果、菌の遺伝子の型が一致したという。また、先月１４日からの１週間でＯ−１５７に感染した患者は全国で１４４人と過去５年間で最多となったことも分かった。埼玉や群馬の患者と同じ遺伝子型の菌に感染していた人が大半で、新潟や長野、三重、滋賀、香川の患者からも同じ型の菌が検出されたという。
