On the Shore of Lake Michigan [2008年04月23日(水)]
Message for wold Peace

On the Shore of Lake Michigan

Jets fly by.

Seagulls cry.

At the great stones of the jetty

waves softly lap.

Across the Lake - CHICAGO,

Concrete Towers,

a serrated knife slicing the sky.

HIROSHIMA, Nagasaki & VIETNAM,

IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN:

Our human skills too often kill.

Eager to "save face"

We do not have the grace

To stand in the other's place.

May our spirit go out in space -

Look back and see this wondrous earth.

Look out and see the moon and stars.

Know the great silence

Before all sound.

In the stillness may we find

The Oneness of all hearts and minds.

Peace Message

"Sixty-three years later"

I met Katharyn Uyetani in the spring of 1945.
She would became my friend the same year our United
States Government, allowed a few of our citizens to leave
Concentration Camps, where they had been illegally interned.

When we first met I assumed she was Native American, so I asked
her “ What tribe are you? ”. She smiled and smiled and responded,
“ Tribe? ”.
I explained that as Native Americans, when we meet someone we
think is also Native American, we ask this question with hopes we
might know a member of their tribe.

To this day, Sixty-three years later, Katharyn Uyetani Yamamoto
remains my best friend.

Later in August of that same year, we shared the horror of
Hiroshima, Nagasaki bombing.
Later we would attend memorials for the victims and the survivors
of Hiroshima, Nagasaki.

Even though I had three brothers and two sisters n the service at
the time, they .who we worried about, we still understood what a
terrible thing our government had done. Eventually my family would
share my feelings of doom because of what our government had
unleashed inour beautiful world upon innocent Japanese people.

Message for World Peace

Prayer

If you have love in your heart,
If you have courage in your soul,
If you have any care for the future of your children,
Raise your voice for the abolition of nuclear weapons.
I trust that human beings can understand one another.

JUST AS WE SEEK [2007年05月13日(日)]
 Message for world Peace

JUST AS WE SEEK A BETTER LIFE AND PEACE FOR OUR SELVES, WE MUST SHOW INTEREST AND CONCERN FOR THE WELFARE AND HUMANENESS OF OTHERS. LET US OPEN UP OUR HEARTS AND MINDS AND RESOURCES TOWARDS CONFRONTING PROBLEMS THAT PLAGUE OUR SOCIETIES.

WHAT A HARMONIOUS WORLD THIS COULD BE IF EACH INDIVIDUAL ACCEPTED JUST A SMALL RESPONSIBILITY TO HELP WIPE OUT HUNGER AND SUFFERING.

Message for world Peace
