I hope the children from the AEFA schools will have access to quality local education, and that they will go on to study high school and maybe even college in nearby provinces.
ＡＥＡＦプロジェクトの学校出身の子どもたちが地元で良い教育を受け、そして高校でも勉強を続けるようになってほしいです。そして、近隣の州の大学へも進学できるようになってほしいです。
Thank you so much for wanting to be a part of the AEFA Project. When I see the conditions in VFI villages my heart nearly breaks, they are so very poor and have so few opportunities in life. When we think about our next summer holiday or which new gadget to buy - they worry if they will have enough rice to eat day by day. We are lucky to be from developed countries; we have access to high quality education and have the power to choose what we do with our futures. The people living in VFI villages have neither of these privileges. It will take some time before they have the same advantages as us - but this will start with education and so AEFA's work is addressing an important fundamental need. You must all be congratulated for being part of this process.
Lao is a beautiful country rich in culture and traditions. Lao people are very friendly and welcoming to guests. Salavan Province is very green with some beautiful streams, waterfalls and wilderness. They grow a lot of delicious lao coffee there, as well as bananas and papayas.
ＶＦＩは、ＡＥＦＡのみなさんと一緒に取り組むことができて、とても嬉しく思っています。ＶＦＩの村の状況を見たとき、私は悲嘆にくれました。彼らは本当に、とても困窮していて、生活の中にいいことがほとんどないのです。私たちが、次の夏休みのことを思うときや、新しくどっちの小物を買おうかなと思うとき、彼らは、毎日、食べていくのに十分なお米があるかどうかと心配しているのです。
私たちは幸せなことに、発達した国に生まれました。私たちは、高い水準の教育を受け、自身の将来を選択する力をつけることができます。ＶＦＩの村で暮らす人々には、基本的な権利もないのです。彼らが私たちと同じような利点を得るようになるまでにはしばらく時間がかかるでしょう。−でも、それは、教育によって始まるでしょう。ですから、ＡＥＦＡのプロジェクトでは、とても重要な基本的に必要なことに取り組んでいるのです。皆さんは、この過程に取り組んでいることを、この国の人々から喜ばれるにちがいありません。
ラオスは伝統と文化に富んだとても美しい国です。ラオスの人々はとても優しく、外から来たひとにも親切です。サラワン県は美しい川や、滝、そして自然のあるとても緑豊かなところです。そこでは、バナナやパパイヤだけでなく、おいしいラオスコーヒーもたくさん栽培されています。
